Christ Covenant Church

Our Beliefs

Scripture
We confess that the whole of Holy Scripture is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is fully sufficient for life and godliness, revealing the mind and will of the Lord. As God’s own revelation it carries His full authority, and it is both our duty and our privilege to submit to it. This is where the description goes.
The Trinity
There is one living and true God who exists eternally as three distinct yet co-equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three share the same divine essence, equal in power, glory, and majesty.
God
God is pure Spirit—limitless, eternal, and unchanging in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere present, never increasing in knowledge or surprised by anything.
Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, two complete natures joined inseparably in one person without confusion or division. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead. He alone is the Mediator between God and mankind. oes.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit, of one substance with the Father and the Son, eternally proceeds from them. He indwells believers, brings about new birth by His power, and sanctifies them so that they bear fruit pleasing to God.
Creation
By His sovereign word God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing, and by His providence He continues to sustain and govern all things and their actions with perfect wisdom and power.
Humanity
God created man and woman in His own image. Through Adam’s sin, humanity fell into corruption and became estranged from its Creator, guilty and unable to save itself, deserving death as the just penalty for sin.
Atonement
All have sinned and need reconciliation with God. Christ accomplished this reconciliation through His substitutionary death on the cross, fully redeeming God’s chosen people and crediting His righteousness to them.
The Law
God’s moral law perfectly reflects His holy character and remains binding on all people at all times.
The Church
Christ has established His visible church on earth to live by the Spirit under the authority of Scripture, proclaim the gospel, administer the sacraments, make disciples, and exercise loving discipline.
The Creeds
Christ Covenant Church confesses the ancient creeds of the Christian faith—the Apostles’, the Nicene, and the Chalcedonian Creeds—and embraces the five solas of the Reformation and the historic Reformed confessions such as the Westminster Standards and the Three Forms of Unity.
Christianity and Culture
Christ Covenant Church supports faithful believers and ministries that uphold the supreme authority of Scripture and the universal lordship of Jesus Christ. We commend efforts to apply God’s commandments for the good of humanity and creation. In particular, we stand with those who defend unborn life and uphold biblical definitions of gender, sexuality, and marriage.
